Si tiene a Visakhapatnam (India), il 20-23 gennaio 2016, il 20° congresso della Federazione Nazionale delle Donne Indiane, organizzazione storica delle donne affiliata alla WIDF.

Per l'occasione l'AWMR Italia ha inviato un messaggio di saluto ad ANNIE RAJA, segretaria generale della NFIW:

Dear Annie, dear Comrades and Sisters in NFIW

Please allow me on behalf of AWMR - Italy to congratulate you and express our warmest greetings to all the delegates and guests of the 20^th NFIW Congress.

I also want to express our admiration to your Federation which since 1954 has been aiming at defending the Indian women’s rights, eliminating poverty, ending violence against women and girls and promoting women's political capacity and participation in your Country.

On the international level, we highly appreciate your input in Women’s International Democratic Federation’s activities for solidarity and sisterhood among women all over the world, for peoples self-determination, national independence and sovereignty, against war and imperialism.

As WIDF’s member, AWMR Italy is looking forward to strengthening friendship with you and developing the friendly cooperation between our peoples.

We are sure that your Congress  is a significant opportunity in strengthening NFIW and  making a greater advance of the Indian women's achievements.

We warmly wish delegates of the Congress fruitful work, reflections and decisions that will help all of us going forward in our common path towards development, social justice, gender equality and peace.
